H. E. Vincent Degert gave the introductory speech and opened the Event. H. E. Degert emphasized the importance of the enforcement of legislation for citizens of the European Union but also for citizens of the Republic of Croatia from the prospect of membership to the EU.

Mrs. Marina Matulović Dropulić welcomed the participants on behalf of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction and emphasized the importance of the Project for the Republic of Croatia and informed the participants about the efforts the Environmental Protection Inspection has been undertaking to improve the environmental situation in Croatia.

Mrs. Josipa Blažević Perušić gave a thorough overview about the project environment and the results the Project should achieve. The elaboration was supported by a power point presentation.

The project team presented the scope and results up to date. Presentations were given by:

Pat Swords, Environmental Protection Key Expert
Colum Hickey, IT Key Expert.

The visibility was attended by over 100 participants from state administration bodies, regional and local governments and self-governments, industry, NGOs and civil society in general.
